about us
Gloria Lorenzo is the consummate artist- a sculptor and painter with more than 15 years experience in the faux finish business. She is the creative force behind Imaginart. With a Master’s degree from the renowned San Alejandro Academy of Art, Gloria transports her knowledge to the surfaces on which she works and has developed a reputation for superb craftsmanship.
Her sculptures have evolved from primarily enameled clay objects to larger scale pieces that incorporate wood, metal, resins and other materials. Gloria’s use of evocative organic forms draws inspiration from her love of structure, textures and process.
Her work has been featured internationally in Spain, Brussels and Venezuela. Locally, her art has been exhibited in Art Miami, the Metro Dade Cultural Center, the Cuban Museum of Miami, and most recently in the Snite Museum of Art at the University of Notre Dame. Gloria’s sculptures are part of the collections at the National Museum of Contemporary Cuban Ceramics in Havana, the Cultural Foundation in Quito, Ecuador, and the Lowe Art Museum in Coral Gables, FL.
She has created custom finishes in South Florida, New York and Panama. Her work can be seen in many private homes from Palm Beach to the Florida Keys. Gloria has also executed larger scale jobs including the lobbies of commercial and residential buildings such as the exclusive Palazzo del Mare in Fisher Island.
